post - Are https URLs encrypted? - Stack Overflow: "It's probably a bad idea to put confidential data in the URL anyway. It will be displayed in the browser's address bad too, remember? URLs are also stored in browser history and server logs - if I wanted to have my name and password stored somewhere, it would not be in these two places. – Piskvor Jun 30 '10 at 15:33
